Project Description
Coastal Wolf Construction Inc. completed approximately 2.5 km of 3.0 m wide granular multi-use pathway within active roadway corridors on Pender Island under Contract 60.24.01-01.
Work included:
Granular trail construction (subbase, base, and screenings)
Removal and installation of HDPE culverts (200 mm–600 mm)
Riprap headwalls and new ditch construction
Cross drains and drainage conveyance upgrades
Rock excavation and bedrock breaking
Concrete landings, asphalt tie-ins, crosswalks, bollards, and fencing
Traffic management per BC MoTI standards
Arborist-supervised excavation and environmental protection
The project required phased construction, MoTI coordination, utility interface, and drainage improvements within a constrained rural roadway environment.
